»Pecheur« Men's Functional Leather Vest

The »Pecheur« men's functional vest leather combines the tradition of the iconic fisherman's vest with modern elements. It is made of robust, waxed goatskin suede.The vest features four generous bellows pockets and a brass-coloured two-way zip at the front. The functional pockets include two patch bellows pockets on the chest and two larger ones at the bottom, all with flaps and magnetic button fastenings that offer plenty of storage space. In addition, there are two zip pockets on the front, four brass D-rings and a large, square bellows pocket in the lower back area and a D-ring for attaching a landing net to round off the well thought-out design. The quilted and coated shoulder trim not only gives the vest additional durability, but also a striking touch.The inspiration for this vest comes from the first fly fishing vest, which was invented in 1932 by the legendary angler, writer and outdoor filmmaker Lee Wulff. Before Wulff's revolutionary design, fly fishermen usually wore tweed jackets with long sleeves and carried their equipment in shoulder bags. Influenced by the vests of small game hunters, Wulff created a garment with numerous pockets of different sizes that quickly spread across North America after the Second World War.
