Several spruce logs are marked and hewed in groups in the traditional way with axe and broad axe (final dimensions approx. 300 x 25 x 30 cm). On the finished beam, students will practise typical European carpentry joints, e.g. skew notches, square or angled rail joints or dovetail joints.
