Profile with an R6 radius for gouges and carving tools. The 8 mm deep groove, which serves as a spacer, allows the wheel to be combined with other profile wheels.
With these profiled felt polishing discs, carving tools, linocut and woodcutting tools can be honed in seconds. When polishing the bevels of gouges or V-tools on the leather wheel (e.g. on water-cooled grinders), the back or inner bevel must be polished by hand with a multi-form stone. This is cumbersome and time-consuming. With the mandrel No. 730126, the profiled felt polishing discs, available in various profiles, can be mounted directly onto the leather wheel of water-cooled grinders with an M12 thread. Polish the bevel on the leather wheel - turn the tool by 180° and finish it on the felt polishing disc - done. Several profile wheels can be mounted together on the mandrel. By using reducing sleeves from 12 mm to 10 mm (Nos. 727943, 727979, 727980), the felt polishing discs can also be used on 10 mm mandrels. Suitable polishing pastes include DICTUM Polishing and Honing Paste (No. 705055) or Tormek Honing Compound (No. 705213).
