Poppy Seed Oil, 250 ml

Food-safe oil extracted from the seeds of the white poppy flower (Papaver somniferum), ideal for handicraft objects, woodturning objects, toys, kitchen furniture and kitchen utensils. It is pleasant to the touch, making it ideal for knife and tool handles and, together with pigments, to produce high-quality colour oils and artists' colours. The high transparency of poppy seed oil makes it the perfect base for violin varnishes and clear protective wood finishes; it provides excellent protection against moisture and dirt, does not turn yellow and penetrates deeply into the wood for a firm surface. Poppy seed oil dries more slowly than linseed oil. Application of multiple coats results in a warm, silky sheen and a surface which is pleasant to the touch. Poppy seed oil can be mixed with other vegetable oils and solvents.
