»Sandro« Broadcloth Jacket

It is often cold and rainy in the German Hunsrück Mountains, where the broadcloth for this sporty men's jacket is made. According to traditional methods, the wool is felted under the influence of water, heat and friction. The result is a very dense and robust material - ideal for hunting use. The pure wool regulates the body temperature and inhibits the formation of unpleasant odours. The wool wax contained in wool, also known as lanolin, has high self-cleaning and water-repellent properties. Lanolin wraps itself around the natural wool fibre like a protective cover and thus reduces the absorption of dirt. On the shoulders, sleeves and sides, the jacket is trimmed with a robust EtaProof cotton fabric to protect these particularly stressed areas. EtaProof is a functional fabric made of high-quality cotton, which is very densely woven and swells when moist so that the intersections of the weave close up. It is therefore naturally water-repellent. The fabric feels stiffer, but this decreases again with drying. It is also lightly treated with a biological impregnation that does not need to be renewed. The collar with ribbed knit on the outside can be worn up, guaranteeing cosy warmth even on cooler days. The two outer pockets close with zips. With a fabric weight of 550 g/m and its surface compacted by fulling, this jacket offers optimal protection against cold, wind and weather.
