Description
Long Hole Boring Kit
Specially developed for the production of lamp stands and for drilling through spindles and columns, this deep drill bits set is indispensable. Turn your woodturning obejcts as usual between the included spur drivers, using the adjustable tip and guide bushing, as well as the revolving centre, which also serves as a drill guide. Then drill an exact hole with a diameter of 8 mm from both sides. For this purpose, you must first remove the tip of the revolving centre and clamp the workpiece exactly in the centre again with the help of the tip of the knockout rod; the live centre tip now serves as a drill guide. Now the first hole can be properly drilled above the centre. The M2-HSS drill bit with a total length of 610 mm has been specially developed for drilling precise holes (in end grain wood) on the lathe. As with all slot drills, frequent retraction helps to remove the chips. By applying wax to the drill, you can reduce the risk of overheating and improve the removal of the cut material at the same time. Next, turn the woodturning object once and replace the tip in the spur driver with the guide bushing. The guide bushing allows the workpiece to be positioned accurately on the spur driver. Now the drilling can be completed.
