This book by Heiko Rech provides a thorough introduction to furniture making. The first part consists of the basic chapters workshop planning, wood, hand tools, sawing, milling, grinding and finishing.
These basic chapters are supplemented with two construction projects, a hanging cabinet and a drawer cabinet. Here the basic working techniques are practiced on specific tasks. Complete with drawings, parts lists and many illustrations.
The book also contains a video DVD (90 min.), which deals with the handling of circular saws, routers, router tables, jointers and the carpenter's square, as well as the selection of fittings for hinges and drawer guides.
