The Kanetomo planes allow you to forego these time-consuming steps by using replaceable HSS cutters. The cutters fit flush into a recess in the back of the heavy, vibration-absorbing blade. The razor-sharp cutters will produce first-class surface finishes even when working difficult materials. They are hardened to 68 HRC to guarantee superb edge life.
